WLI EVP Invited to Tort Reform Panel for Colorado
Pamela L. Popp will serve on a panel to advise the Colorado Health Institute, through their partnership with the United Cerebral Palsy organization, during our research into the possibility of Colorado establishing a compensation fund for neurologically impaired infants. The project will consider the development of an economic model that will estimate the lifetime costs of a care and coverage alternative that provides comprehensive, appropriate and seamless medical care and services to families funded by an inclusive, compensation fund.

This invitation recognizes the particular expertise and perspectives Pamela brings to this most important policy area. The focus of the expert panel will be to advise Colorado Health Institute on three critically important dimensions: 1) what parameters should be put around the definition of eligibility for the no-fault comp fund; 2) what services would be included in the comprehensive benefit design; 3) how current funding streams be integrated and used to finance the fund over time.
